Florida Living Will Document

What is right and What is fair. Is it the same? Child support and alimony?
My wife and I are separated and it seem that we will not be getting back together. On the practical side. She has asked (or demanded ) 1/2 my salary in child support, plus it goes on for 6 years. In florida we are only liable for upto the 18th years of age, which would put me at one child 22 and the other 19.
Also she wants 1/4 of my salary as alimony for the rest of my life. She has a job, and makes about 1/3 of what I make.
Am I being stupid to accept this terms, knowing I will be helping my kids, (I have no problem with that) but the probles is that once a legal document is signed I have no way of changing it and would be living severly close to the poverty line if I can’t get a job like this if the economy goes south. I know most people will say go to see a lawyer, and that’s fine, but at that point, all my wanting to help will go out the door. It would turn into a war. And that is only good for the lawyers. She will also be keeping the house . (neither of us cheated)
You can look up the child support details for your state online. She can ASK for anything she wants but what she is entitled to is a different story. You shouldn’t pay her child support after your kids turn 18.You do have a way to change the terms after you’ve signed but it requires going back to court and paying a lawyer AGAIN. Seriously talk to a lawyer- men seem to have this guilt thing when it comes to divorce where they feel so bad about the whole situation they’re willing to just sign away their whole lives. Don’t do it. Get a lawyer and find out what she’s actually entitled to.
