Free Living Will Downloads
Download text of Living Bible?
I am writing software that scans/compares different versions of The Bible. Is there a free download of the Living Bible text somewhere? I prefer .txt format, but could work with other formats.
The software will not be sold, so I’m hoping for ‘free’ or ‘very cheap’.
I’d also be interested in knowing about other popular versions of the Bible and locations that provide free/cheap downloads.

There used to be many, many more sources of such texts and other free stuff on the net, but like everything else these days what was once free is now only to be had by subscription.
Below are two I found after a few dead ends (free versions, but only so many pages, cough up the cash to buy the rest)
Another promising one (although I have not searched it for the Bible) is Project Gutenberg, it is the place where you can download over 33,000 free ebooks to read on your PC, iPad, Kindle, Sony Reader, iPhone, Android or other portable device.
BTW: What language are you writing it in? and are you aware of concordances, equidistant spacing methods for Bible study etc?
There is a brilliant scripting language called AutoIt that handles RegEx and Arrays very well and has inbuilt string handling functions, you may want to look it up.
(They have a very good forum and numerous example programs, some quite complex, They may even have software examples to do similar to what you are intending doing.)
