Where should I take a trip for a long weekend within an eight hour drive from Chicago this winter?
Every year, my boyfriend and I take a roadtrip for a long weekend with another couple. Last year, we drove to Tunica, Mississippi and had a really nice time. We’re all mid-twenties, enjoy live music, some gambling and general sight-seeing. We aren’t big club-goers. We live near Chicago and are trying to come up with a destination for this year’s trip, which will probably be in November or December. We talked about maybe Gatlinburg, Tennessee or Windsor, Ontario. But we’re open to anywhere in fairly easy driving range. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (Feel free to include restaurants, bars, other sites to see) We try to see as much as we can on a budget.

They have a lot of regular weekly specials from Chicago.
For instance, right now, they have a one way special to St. Louis for $19.50 per person. Indianapolis is only $10.80.
And in winter, you won’t have to worry about the weather on the highways, let alone the gas.
