“It is shameful that Congress ceded so much of its proper authority over foreign policy to successive presidents during the 20th Century, especially when it failed to declare war in Korea, Vietnam, Kosovo, and Iraq. It’s puzzling that Congress is so willing to give away one of its most important powers, when most members from both parties work incessantly to expand the role of Congress in domestic matters.
By transferring its role in foreign policy to the President, Congress not only violates the Constitution, but also disenfranchises the American electorate.
I am just amazed at some of the anti Ron Paul critics here on Y. A., because Ron Paul is a TRUE Constitutionalist.
Can any other candidate say that.
Wake up Americans, a vote against Ron Paul is a vote against the Constitution, a vote against the founders, and a vote against all the Revolutionaries that gave their lives in battle so many years ago.
I was taught it was every Americans personal responsibility to read and understand the Constitution, how many of you wise guys out there have done that, even though you may have had to defend your country in one of those wars Ron Paul writes about above.
If you consider yourself a TRUE American patriot, stand up for Ron Paul, because he alone of all the congressmen/woman basis all his political decisions on the rules set forth in the Constitution,,,,,,,personally I take great pride in the fact that I was lucky enough to be born in America, and have enjoyed most of the freedoms outlined in “The Bill of Rights.”
Most of you writing out there have also, do you think the present regimes gave you your freedoms or the Founders?
