Indian Government has passed Right to Education Act which is one of the greatest step in
indian history as it help in developing children living standard and better society. But
Government is facing the problem in implementing this act properly due to lack of skilled
teachers to educate the childrens. Due to this even in existing schools the result is
very less. I think this is one of the major problem in many countries.
One day i was thinking about this issue and suddenly i recognized our Mahabharata (the
Hindu epic) that i read in my school time and also saw on television. In that there was a
character Ekalavya who aspires to study archery in the gurukul of Dronacharya (a well
known teacher). After being rejected by Dronacharya to educate him. Ekalavya decided to
adopt a program of self-study in the presence of a clay image of Dronacharya. He achieves
a level of skill far superior to that of Arjuna, Dronacharya’s favorite and most
accomplished student. Dronacharya eventually comes to know this and demands that Ekalavya
turn over his right thumb as a teacher’s fee. The loyal Ekalavya cripples himself,
thereby ruining his prospects as an archer.
This character of Ekalavya gives inspiration to me to promote the self-study method. I am
a web developer so i decide to use my skills to work on this method and to contribute to
my country. Today internet is so powerful tool available in all part of world. So i
