Should/will the release of “Teenagers” by MCR be delayed due to Virginia Tech massacre?
This is more of an opinionated question, but due to the fact that the song and video are due to be released just one week after the recent events at Virginia Tech should the release be delayed?
The song is basically about going to school and getting revenge, and killing people. It doesn’t directly say that, but it implies it.
Personally I think the whole tone of the song is sarcastic, and that it’s say more that people that do commit violence are idiots. But with the recent events is the song too much for people to deal with.
And of course, if anyone has heard if the band has stopped playing the song at live events or have said anything about the relation in the topic of the song and Virginia tech, feel free to share that.
no it shouldn’t be delayed because if all the songs that had somethin to do with tradgedies in the news there would never be any music. and don’t tell me none of the victims or their family members weren’t fans of mcr.
