Free Online Living Will Maker

Which one of the three consoles will win this console war?
To put a twist on this lets assume that in three to four years one of the console makers will release a new console. I cannot assume that the PS3 and Wii have the same life cycle so until the start of the next next gen, who will win?
Personally, I think that the competition in this generation has been highly beneficial to the consumer. Each console’s innovations has caused one or both of the other consoles to step up. Playstation 3 has caused the Xbox 360 to add HDMI. The 360s headstart has caused the PS3 to lower its price. Both systems have made Nintendo concentrate more on its online play.
That’s why I believe that in 3 – 4 years we will be looking at consoles with the storage disk size of the PS3 and with even more power, that gets you involved in the game like the Nintendo Wii, and has an online service that beats out Xbox live (but hopefully for free) with the shorter developer’s cycle of the Xbox 360.
As for winning this round of the console wars, it really is to early. I agree with a previous answer, it depends on who you ask. Those that say Nintendo is winning, don’t understand hardware sales and/or the sales reports that they are looking at. The Wii is very low tech compared to it’s counterparts and the controls, as innovative as they are, are about as developer friendly as Nintendo is, which isn’t very friendly at all. That means a possible shortage of third party IPs, and Nintendo has shown that it has trouble holding the market with only first and second party titles.
Sony is stumbling at the gate a little. The fan boys will talk about the upcoming lineup, but what they don’t mention to much is that a lot of the titles are already out for the 360, will be out for the Wii and 360 (some big titles with exclusive DLC), or the title isn’t overwhelmingly impressive. Triple A titles for the PS3 have had a lot of bad reviews and sales haven’t been all that great. Some of the promised online features are being pushed back and just going into BETA, at the time they were supposed to be released which gives a bad image to customers about where they are taking their product.
The 360 has it’s problems, but Microsoft is doing it’s best to address the issues, and doing so to the public. Even though it might seem like bad press, they are getting the message out to customers that they support the console for the long haul. Their online service, even though there is a charge for it, is unmatched. Microsoft has also been working very hard at getting new, exclusive titles that have mass appeal. They are also maneuvering console bundles and setups so that almost any customer is going to find something that they are happy with.
Each console also has it’s target demographic. And not much of that demographic is heavily targeted by it’s competitors. Sure, there are features of each one that will appeal to everyone, but the big names are going to offer what their target audiences want most. The real winner of any/all of the console wars has been the customers. Does it really matter about the numbers of units in houses, unless you are a shareholder? What matters is, did the console that you purchased for your home provide the entertainment that you expected?
With all of that said, and owning all three systems, I would say that the 360 is the best value, and if overall satisfaction of the customer is what determines the winner, then I think the 360 has the edge for now.
