Living Will Executor
Help Me understand my rights in this living will?
long story short, my grandma died a few years back, told me i was in her will, my aunt was the executor or whatever it is called, and screwed me and my family out of what was left to us, it has happened a few years ago, but i want to pursue what was left to me. Am i entitled to see the will? if so how? what are my options? can i sue?
I live in florida they live in new york, i cant go in person…any other option?
It’s just a will. Not a living will. And yes, if you are in it, you can see it. Talk to the grandmother’s attorney, or go to the probate court for a copy.
If the executor did not follow the will, then you can sue. She should have gone through the probate court in the first place to confirm the will is followed. If she didn’t do that, that is a felony crime.
