if i am on base, or in iraq and my wife is living in a different state, will i get bah form the military?
or is there a rank requierment, time in service requierment? this is my wife living in our house in california and im out on base or over seas.
BAH will be based on your DUTY station for all accompanied orders and during deployments, regardless of where your spouse lives.
so if you are stationed in TX, that’s all you will get in BAH(calculated by duty station zip code and paygrade), which is considerably less than CA BAH.
BTW, you cannot live in the barracks AND collect BAH any more with accompanied orders.. so if you live in barracks you forfeit BAH.
