If china surpass us standard of living will malaysia afford to import their goods ??
Guys i have this question to answer as my coursework ……. please help me with relevant answers or give me references where i can find quick n valid information……. it will be much appreciated !!

Well, given that there isn’t enough of anything in the world: oil, food, minerals, lumber, etc. for China to surpass the current U.S. standard of living, the only way for China to pass the U.S. is for the U.S. standard of living to take a major dive.
Needless to say, we are talking about a whole different world then, one in which no one can make any predictions.
Furthermore, you say nothing about what Malaysia will be doing while this is happening. While Malaysia’s economy hasn’t be growing quite as fast as China’s, it has been growing much faster than that of the U.S. or Europe:

Malaysia is already ahead of a few European countries in per per capita GDP (Serbia, Bulgaria, the Ukraine, etc.)

One could easily imagine that Malaysians will be even more able to afford Chinese goods than they are now.
