Florida Child Support Question, PLEASE HELP!!!?
My husband’s mother is still collecting child support from his father that is ill. Is their any way that my husband can get this stopped? My husband is 27 years old and hasn’t lived with his mother for years now. We cannot find any information where we live (Illinois) Any information will help greatly. Thank you for reading.
I (the son) moved out when I was 14, I do beleave that this is back child support but how can she still be collecting for two years for the last 8 years? My father has been extremely sick with cancer and has not had the money or capabilities to get this issue taken care of, what can I do living in I.L. and this happening in F.L.? Who can I call? My mother is a very bad person, who will lie and manipulate any situation; most likely one of the reasons she is still collecting. Please give me some directions to go in. Thank you.

I feel this must be back child support with interest (Fl charges interest on back child support) and it is owed to the mother. Once the bill is paid off they will end the garnishment of the fathers pay and benefits.
Everyone this is a classic example of why you do not fall behind on child support. You always owes it even if the child is 90 years old the money is still owed.
