I live in MA, got caught for shoplifting. What do I do?
I’m waiting to recieve paperwork/court date in the mail. I didn’t even look at prices, just took, like the dumb idiot I am. I can’t believe I did this. Everything amounted to $246….only $4 below being a felony. I’m so scared that in court, they’ll consider it a felony….I’d never stolen anything before, and the LP guy didn’t believe me because it was so much money….I feel so ashamed of myself, but I’m scared. What will happen to me in court? I don’t know if I can get a lawyer….how much money is this going to be? I am so stupid….please help.
