Living Will Living Trust Difference
What is the difference a living trust and a will?
My friends grandpa was extremely wealthy (and not very nice) and he just recently passed away. His wife and both his daughters (my friends mom) passed before him so the grand kids are whats left and my friend is estranged from the rest of them, although she was not from her grandfather. Her brother became successor trustee but wont give her any information when she contacts him. The only documentation she has received is a Notification By Trustee (Probate Code 16061.7) It’s been six month since her grandpa passed and she lives in a hotel with her kids. What can she do to find out when she can get her money without it costing her a fortune? Sorry so long. Thank you.
The best thing she can do is talk to an attorney who deals with Estate Law. Tell her to see if an attorney will do it on contingency since she does not have any money. The lawyer should be able to get a copy of the documents for her.
