My aunt will in going on Hospice in assisted living soon. She is not bed ridden yet, but has multiple ails?

Will Medicare pay for doctor bills or hospital bills once on Hospice? Live in state of Ohio. If she fell, that would require a hospital visit so wonder about that situation . We were told if in skilled nursing you can’t have Hospice. These laws are confusing and geared for someone making money at the patients expense. My 90 year old aunt does ot want dialysis or futher cancer treatment or to be on lots of pills. Let nature take its course, she says, but someone has to take care of her needs at this stage of her life. I hope we are chosing right option , hospice with assisted living, tying to avoid nursing home. Any comments on personal experience ?

I worked for a hospice besides using it for my father and husband. If someone fell and broke a hip, they could go to the hospital. Be sure to call hospice immediately to let them know what is going on. Also, we had people in nursing homes under hospice care. It helped because they got symptom control including for pain in addition to support for their families.
