Where can I find statutes on paying 6 mo. rent in advance?
I live in California and my boyfriend and I are looking to rent this one house. The landlord is not comfortable with our income which includes S.S.I, part-time job, and 2 humongous school loans. We have already provided copies of these documents to them but they are worried that they will be breaking a law if we pay 6 mo. in advance. I need to look this up for myself too.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
I don’t think you’ll find any laws on how much rent the landlord can charge. This is the landlord’s way of saying they don’t want to rent to you no matter how much you pay them.
