What will my experience be like living i the USA?
I’m soon to be moving to the USA with my American wife. I have finally received my green card but im worried because of all this negativity towards foreign born people. Will the USA accept me and make me feel welcome?
Well that would depend on your skin color. If you are brown skinned, beware of the discrimination that is headed your way. Americans can be nice in a very superficial way. They will always say good morning and thank you but at the same time they can be really mean and ignorant towards you, your culture and your accent.
But all this also depends on where you end up in the USA. The more rural the area, the more ignorant people are. If you end up in a big city like New York City. Manhattan is great! Its very diverse and you will like it.
If you are asian, it wouldnt be so bad. They tend to see asians as smart little people. So you’ll be ok. If you;re black, then boy its gonna s*ck for you really bad.Be ready to be constantly judged and discriminated on. Mostly its done very discreetly.
Even with all this, its not that bad. You’ll be ok. It would take a while for you to adjust but you’ll be ok.
