Living Will Witness Signature
India power of attorney – Winess singnature?
We are Indian nationals, currently living in UK.One of my colleague wants to buy a property in India, he is also in UK and so he applied for Power of attorney document thro the UK Indian Consulate. He asked me for witness signature, now will I be in Trouble? Will the same document be used for applying loan and in that case will I be considered loan guarantor. (I have only have signed as witness in the last page).Kindly advise on this Please.
Don’t Worry. If you have signed just as witness, you don’t have any cause of concern. By signing as witness you are certifying that the other person has signed in your presence. Witness and guarantors are totally different and you need not lose your sleep over the same.
