Buying a car at an auction in Michigan, Can I travel through Canada from Ny to get there quicker?

I am going to be bidding on a car at an auction in Lansing Michigan. I live along Lake Ontario in NY. If I win the auction, Yahoo Maps is giving me a route that goes through Canada. I will be in a pick up truck with my father who has a trailer that he will load the car onto. What documents would I need to be able to do this?

You’ll need a passport for each of you and probably the owner’s documentation (i.e. registration) for the car you are purchasing. Getting into Canada is very easy and relatively hassle free, it will be crossing back that will be a pain.
