Official State Marriage Laws of Missouri…So confused!!?

My friend from Virgina wants to get her officiant certification in order to marry us, we live in Missouri and said marriage will be in Missouri. She is originally from Missouri but currently resides in the state of Virginia. I cannot find a legit website that explains the true laws and stipulations for our state. Do any of you know if it’s possible that she obtains a licsense to hitch us?

The only way to do this is to find someone that will allow your friend to officiate while they take care of the legalities. In MO weddings have to be preformed by: Any ordained minister, active or retired, who is in good standing with congregation; Circuit Court or Associate Circuit Court Judge who can’t receive compensation for marrying folks; Marriage Commissioners, and Judges (Circuit Court, District Court, or retired) in Missouri may also perform civil weddings.
