bad check laws in ohio?
Okay When I still lived in ohio where my family is i had went to a salon after my pregnancy to get my hair nail toes ect done and that was about $550 then a week later I took my neices for a dual birthday party there and a few frinds this was $800. THe owner of the salon called me about 2 days later saying my checks were not clearing i called the bank and they were having problems with my account (not my fault) but long story short they had to close my account.All the money in my account should have been sent to me but they still to this day have not got everything straightened out to give me my money.But the Owner of the Salon is giving me till friday to pay the money and being laid off with a 7 month old i dont have it! What will Happen to me?
If it really wasn’t “your fault” the bank should be doing something to help you out. But that is a “contract” between you and the bank. The bank has no loyalty to the salon. As far as the checks go, that is contract between you and the salon and you are fully responsible. Find a way to make good on the checks, you will be charged with 2 felony counts of writing bad checks if you don’t and you will be arrested.
