How to get a Local tax refund because I don’t live in the city where I work.?
I live 45 min away from my job. I work in Columbus, Ohio but live in the small rural town of East Liberty, Ohio near Bellefontaine. I know that the city with the higher % will refund me, but how do i initiate this? Does it happen automatically since i stated my local taxes on my federal and state forms that i filed? or is this a different form? Please help me out i cant find a direct answer anywhere. And if you know that it is a form i really need to know which one.
Are you saying that these CITIES have income taxes withheld? If they do, then the claim would have to be on their forms, not on Federal or State forms.
