Need help with taxes! Got income but do not know how to report it!!?

My father and his wife own and operate a bar/Lounge. He got sick last year and went into the hospital. I had to go in and bartend and help out with all of that stuff for a while and made about 2000 dollars. About 700 was wages and the rest was tips. I was not put on any type of payroll as my dad was in critical care and all that and couldnt fill out any papers so i got paid cash. I am concerned that this would be considered “under the table”and that i will get into trouble. I would like to file this income on my taxes but don’t know how and if I do will it get my father into trouble? He filed his taxes in Jan. so i cannot get a 1099 or w2 or anything from him now. I live in pennsylvania. Don’t know if that makes any difference or not.

You must file a subsitute W-2 and also file Form 4137 for tip income. H&R Block has these resources available to you. Your a good honest person to claim this income as it is the right thing to do. You dad shouldn’t get into any trouble.
