Legal requirements for small animal rescue in PA?
I live in Pennsylvania. I’m starting an animal rescue soon for small animals [rodents, especially.] I was just wondering if the same legal requirements for a private non-profit rescue for dogs and cats are required. I cannot find any specific information on this. I’m assuming I don’t need a license or a permit since they will be mostly rats, and the law doesn’t necessarily care about them? But I don’t really want to get into any trouble. Thanks.

Two issues. The first is tax status. Yes, all non profits, dog, cat horse, or child goes through the same process to obtain non-profit status.
