Pennsylvania Living Will Witnesses

When marrying a divorced man, & you go to sign marriage papers w/a witness will they know he was married?
I am in a relationship with a man who was previously in a relationship in GA, where they were married under common law. He is going through the process of divorce. My family does not know about this part of the situation. My concern is that my parents are very overprotective and they will most likely be in attendance and witness the signing of the married decree. Will there be anything on the marriage decree about his “divorced” status? Basically will I be able to keep his past common law marriage a secret? Or will they find out? I have heard that if the divorce occurs within 6 months of the marriage that a divorce decree needs to be provided. I live in Pennsylvania and he lives in North Carolina…
My husband was divorced and it doesn’t say anything like that on our marriage license… but that is in Illinois. However, if they go with to obtain the marriage license they will find out because they ask you that before they give you the license. I would say you should be honest with them anyways. If you are old enough to get married you are old enough to do things your parents won’t approve of. It might comfort them to know that it is common-law however. He didn’t CHOOSE to marry the other woman. I hope that you be honest with your parents eventually because I would hate for this to come back and bite you in the butt later. Whatever you decide I wish you luck.
